Ph.D. candidate in community nutrition and health promotion

I am Masoomeh Hajizadeh Oghaz, a doctoral candidate in community nutrition and health promotion and graduate teaching assistant student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). I minored in Educational Psychology. I also got my certificate in public health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in May 2021.
My long-term objective is to continue my research in community nutrition and health promotion to better understand the relationship between food and disease, support quality and compassionate nutritional care, and strengthen community initiatives concerning public health and nutrition.
I'm also looking for a postdoctoral position. My research interests are: community nutrition, health promotion, public health nutrition, nutrition and health literacy, nutrition and health disparities, food insecurity, low-income familes health and nutriiton, dietrary patterns, participatory-based research, food assistance programs, and childhood obesity.
