I completed my Pharm.D. degree majoring in Clinical Biology from Kabul University in 2019, and upon completion of my degree, I applied for the Fulbright Scholarship and got selected for the scholarship from hundreds of applicants. In 2020, I started working as a lecturer at Dawat University in Kabul, Afghanistan, for one year before starting my graduate studies in Nutritional Sciences. I started my master's degree in Fall 2021 as a Fulbright Scholar at Texas Tech University. The focus of my master's degree is on community nutrition and health intervention, including nutrition education with focus on cardiometabolic diseases and their risk factors, maternal and child nutrition, and food insecurity. Moreover, I am also interested in the diet-disease relationship with more focus on cardiometabolic diseases and how we can decrease the incidence of cardiometabolic diseases using various tools and strategies, which I am planning to focus on in my Ph.D.
