Syahirah Marshidi is a Ph.D student in Nutrition at UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur. In 2018, she received her Master's degree in Food Science with Business Management at UCSI University. In 2019, she has been appointed as a programme manager on "Healthier Choices Initiatives" by Health Promotion Centre, Ministry of Health, Brunei which focuses on improving the national food environment through program outreach. Her Ph.D. research focuses on chrononutrition, the science of "when" we eat is as important as "what we eat" among non-shifts adults, using a prospective case-control method through the Eat-O-ClockTM Study. Furthermore, she looks at how lifestyle habits and dietary pattern influence meal timing in normal, overweight, and obese adults. In 2021, she received 1st place winner for oral presentation at Perdana International Conference (PIC) 2021 entitled “Meal timing, breakfast skipping, eating window and its association with Body Mass Index (BMI) among Brunei adults: A preliminary analysis”. She was also a Brunei representative for the IUNS Workshop on Capacity and Leadership Development in Nutritional Sciences held on December 11-12, 2021 by the Committee of Science Council of Japan.
