I received a Ph.D. in Social Work at Boston College and a Master degree in Applied Nutrition at Iberoamericana University in Mexico City.
My research is grounded in public health, nutrition and social work. I am mostly interested in identifying multilevel risk and protective factors for malnutrition, eating disorders and substance use to ultimately design, implement and test interventions that prevent negative health outcomes among vulnerable children and adolescents.
