Sara grew up in Costa Mesa, California before moving to Maryland to complete her BS at Johns Hopkins University. She then completed two Masters degrees at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and is currently achieving her PhD in Medical Nutrition Science at KUMC. Her research focuses on early life nutrition, specifically at the effect of added sugars intake during the first 1,000 day of life on offspring health outcomes, including body composition and cognition.
