Rasmi Avula is a Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in the Poverty, Health, and Nutrition Division. She is based out of IFPRI's South Asia Regional office. At IFPRI, her work focuses on generating, synthesizing and mobilizing evidence on various delivery platforms and programs that influence maternal and child nutrition. A core part of her work includes implementation research aimed at strengthening delivery systems and optimizing processes to improve the coverage and quality of nutrition interventions, particularly focused in India. She has a PhD in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior from the University of South Carolina, Columbia (USA).
