Dr. Jomaa is a recently appointed associate professor at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the North Carolina Central University. Prior to joining NCCU, she received her tenure and promotion to an associate professor position at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon after working for more than 10 years in the Middle East. She is a member of the World Economic Forum Young Scientists Community and is an advocate for research and community-based interventions that aim at addressing food and nutrition insecurity among various population groups including women, children, young adults and refugees/displaced individuals. Her recent research work has also been focused on the interlinkages between food security and sustainability. She has been a member of the ASN since more than a decade and always looks forward to connecting and networking with inspiring, accomplished and passionate researchers, nutritionists, practitioners, and public health professionals during the annual meetings and events.
