Gwen received her bachelors of science degree in Mathematics from the University of Idaho. She recently completed her Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University. She currently works in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health working with maternal and child micronutrient deficiencies. Her particular interests lie in metalloproteins- copper, zinc and iron. She hopes to continue work in nutrient biomarker assesment and micronutrient deficiencies by pursuing her doctoral degree.
