Megan Hoang is a senior at Brown University studying Health and Human Biology, as well as Ethnic Studies. She is part of Brown’s Program of Liberal Medical Education, which is an 8-year combined baccalaureate-MD program, and will be matriculating to the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown in fall 2023. She has been actively involved in research at Brown and the Alpert Medical School as a student researcher. Her research interests include cancer, dermatology, epidemiology, and molecular biology. Her work currently focuses on how furocoumarins, a class of compound commonly found in citrus fruits and vegetables, may influence risk of skin cancer.
