Nayeli Shad is a rising junior majoring in Biosciences at Rice University. Her research interests include genetics, health disparities, and epidemiology. In 2021, she conducted a systematic review on the impact of human migration on microbiome composition alongside Dr. Shaikh of Georgia State University and Dr. Cunningham of Emory University. She is grateful for the opportunity to present at NUTRITION for the first time and the support of her co-authors throughout this process.
