Christine Stewart is an Associate Professor of Nutrition and the Interim Director of the Program in International and Community Nutrition at the University of California, Davis. She holds a PhD in International Health and Nutrition from Johns Hopkins University, an MPH from Tulane University, and a BS in Human Biology, Health and Society from Cornell University. Her research focuses on the design and evaluation of nutrition and health interventions for women and young children in low-income communities. She examines the effects of these interventions on growth, health, and development throughout the life course. She has recent or ongoing research projects in Ecuador, Kenya, Malawi, Madagascar, and Bangladesh.
