Debbie Alaimo Lawlor has over 40 years of experience specializing in land use and environmental planning. She is a Principal Associate and Discipline Leader for Planning Services for Colliers Engineering & Design, Inc., a multi-discipline consulting firm serving public and private sector clients nationwide. She manages a team of 10 planners specializing in master planning, redevelopment, zoning, affordable housing, resiliency planning, and community engagement. Debbie previously worked for the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission.
A dedicated member of the American Planning Association (APA), Debbie is a recent Past President of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and executive board member of the Board of Directors for APA nationally. She has also served as Vice Chair of State Planning for the Regional and Intergovernmental Planning Division, and 1st and 2nd Vice President, as well as Northeast Area Representative for APANJ. She was honored in 2009 with the APANJ Distinguished Service Award.
Debbie has a B.S. in Environmental Planning and Design and a M.A. in Geography, both from Rutgers University.
