Nicole Marie Rodriguez is a medical student at UCSF and graduate student in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. At UCSF, she is part of the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US) and is passionate about working towards health equity. Nicole is a core member of the leadership team that launched UCSF’s Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program for Students Underrepresented in Medicine and directed the research curriculum for the program. Her current research focuses on the accuracy of physician gestalt and decision instruments in the management of emergent conditions. Prior to medical school, she worked at the Stanford Prevention Research Center, where she led research projects to improve community environments by collaborating with local organizations to address barriers to public health and safety. Nicole was born and raised in Puerto Rico and first moved to California to attend Stanford University as an undergraduate, where she studied Human Biology.
