I have spent over 30 years and academic emergency medicine. After completing residency at the University of Pittsburgh, I served on the faculty at Maine medical center in Portland Maine for 11 years. I served as program director of the residency program in Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY for four years that also included vice chair of education. I have served for ten years as chair of the department of emergency medicine for Carilion Clinic.
