Mr. Gustavo D Porto is a rising third year medical student at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in North Haven, CT. He was born in Brazil but immigrated to the US at an early age and grew up in Sandy Hook, CT. He attended the University of Connecticut where he recieved his Bachelor's of Science in Allied Health Sciences. He has prior experience as an EMT and ER tech prior to medical school where he also served as a trainer for new EMTs. He's now actively involved in his school's Emergency Medicine Interest Group as President and continues his invovlement with the CT ACEP Medical Student Council and with his volunteer ambulance company. He is currently very interested in Emergency Medicine, and is also considering specialization in Critical Care, Resuscitation, and EMS.
