Malini K Singh is the Vice Chief of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Professor of Emergency Medicine at UCSF School of Medicine. In her role as Vice-Chief, she oversees operations and improvement projects within her department, mentors faculty in administrative leadership positions and creates multi-disciplinary algorithms around patient flow both intra-departmentally and inter-departmentally. In her role as Professor of Emergency Medicine, she is involved in the teaching and training of emergency medicine residents and fellows as well as rotating medical students interested in pursuing careers in Emergency Medicine.
In addition to her administrative leadership role, Malini is a LEAN certified leader where she is able to structure the improvement work in the department using LEAN methodologies. She also holds an MPH from Harvard School of Public Health and most recently received her MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business leveraging her role in operations with skills in strategy, communication and leadership. Malini completed her training at Einstein School of Medicine, Jacobi\Montefiore Emergency Medicine Residency Program where she served a year as Chief Resident prior to becoming an Emergency Medicine Attending and Professor at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
