Senior Scientist and Emergency Physician

Dr. Venkatesh Thiruganasambandamoorthy (‘Venk’) completed his medical degree in India and emergency medicine residency at the Western University. His research interests are ‘Emergency Department Syncope and Chest Pain’.
He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the School of Epidemiology, University of Ottawa; emergency physician at The Ottawa Hospital; and a Scientist with the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.
He is recipient of several competitive grants; has published >30 articles in peer-reviewed journals; is an invited speaker for national and international conferences; and authors national and international guidelines for syncope.
