Emergency Medicine Resident Physician
Henry Ford Health System, Michigan, United States
David Marshall is a second year emergency medicine resident physician currently training at Henry Ford Hospital after completing medical school at Des Moines University. Having personally cared for escalating rates of emergency department presentations for overdoses while training in downtown Detroit, he feels called to advocate for risk reduction while maintaining the public’s liberty of consciousness. Safe-use education and manufacture regulation are the cornerstones of this process exemplified through his involvement with emergency department initiatives for distribution of intranasal naloxone kits and medication assisted therapy models. Future ambitions are aimed towards facilitating self-discovery of the underlying causes of suffering, thereby empowering individuals to navigate their own process of change.
