Fiona Sylvies, MS, is a third year medical student attending Tulane University School of Medicine. She has dedicated much of her research career to studying interventions to improve the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in vulnerable patient populations, primarily focusing on the public health components of tuberculosis, hepatitis C, and HIV. She obtained a Master of Global Health Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco where she studied methods to improve the diagnosis of pediatric febrile illnesses in rural regions of Malawi.
