Deborah Shipley Kane, MD is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Kane completed her Point of Care Ultrasound fellowship in 2010 at University of California, Irvine. Since that time she has held many positions in the Ultrasound section at Washington University in St. Louis including Ultrasound Division Chief, Ultrasound Fellowship Director, Ultrasound Resident Director, Medical Student Ultrasound Clerkship Director and others. Currently she is the Director for Ultrasound Advancement and has a passion for using Implementation research to help drive best practices especially as they pertain to point of care ultrasound, such as ultrasound guided nerve blocks for painful conditions in the Emergency Department.
