Sam Parnell is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Parnell completed his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin and medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2019 and subsequently pursued a Chief Residency with focus in medical education and quality improvement in 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Parnell has specific interests in quality improvement, patient safety, procedural competence, and medical education. Dr. Parnell is currently involved in resident and medical student education at UT Southwestern, and he practices clinically at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Parkland Hospital, and Children's Medical Center Dallas.
