Asad (Sid) Patanwala, Pharm.D., M.P.H. is an associate professor at the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy. He practices as an emergency medicine pharmacist at Banner-University Medical Center Tucson. He coordinates the final pharmacotherapeutics course in the third year of the doctor of pharmacy program and teaches content in the curriculum related to acute care and emergency pharmacotherapy. Dr. Patanwala has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters and abstracts. He has been a recipient of the Junior Investigator Award from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy Foundation, the New Clinical Practitioner Award from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, the Pharmacy Practice Literature Award from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the Drake University Alumni Achievement Award.
