Dr. Cardell is currently Associate Director of Informatics, Core Faculty, & Simulation Faculty, at Maimonides Hospital Center.
She completed residency at St Luke's Roosevelt in Manhattan where she served as chief resident and is alumni of Emory Medical School. Prior to medical school Dr. Cardell spent several years as a business and strategy consultant after earning her undergraduate in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.
She has significant experience lecturing on interruptions and heuristics, has developed residency curriculum around multitasking, and is currently is involved nationally with developing standards for simulation fellowship accreditation. Her current research focus is leading a grant funded project to build a smart 3D printed airway trainer that will provide real time feedback to learners.
