Mark Richman, MD, MPH is an Emergency Medicine Physician at the Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine and the Medical Director of Northwell Health’s Health Solutions’ Disease Management Programs. Trained also in Internal Medicine, he was previously a Physician Innovator, Director of Primary Care, Patient Safety Officer, Performance Improvement Officer, Clinical Information Technology Officer, and Medical Director of Employee Health at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, while an Associate Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Before working for Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, he worked with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services’ Clinical Resource Management Program, leveraging information technology to develop novel, evidence-based. inpatient and outpatient pathways, protocols, and disease management programs. After completing his Bachelor's in English Literature at Stanford, Dr. Richman obtained his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his Emergency Medicine training at Emory University and a Master's of Public Health in International Health/Humanitarian Relief at Johns Hopkins University. After serving as medical advisor for a maternal-child nutrition research project in Bangladesh, Dr. Richman completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center.
