Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

Rebecca Barron, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. She works clinically at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. She attended Tufts University School of Medicine, where she earned an MD/MPH degree. She completed residency in Emergency Medicine and fellowship in Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Through her fellowship, she completed a Post-Master's Certificate in Evidence-Based Teaching in the Health Professions through Johns Hopkins University. Her interests include women's health, public health, sex- and gender-based medicine, and medical education.
