Dr. Yamamoto was born in Kanagawa, Japan, where he earned his medical degree from Keio University School of Medicine in 2006. Dr. Yamamoto completed his residency at Keio University School of Medicine in 2012. After residency, he practiced trauma and acute care surgery as a fellow in Japan and received his board certification from the Japanese Board of Surgery and the Japanese Board of Emergency Medicine in 2013. He then moved to San Antonio, Texas and completed the Trauma Sergery Fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in June 2016 and subsequently joined the faculty at the Trauma Service, Department of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan.
