Corey’s work focuses on public health, particularly on identifying and leveraging legal and policy initiatives to address the epidemic of drug-related harm. He previously served as employment rights attorney at Equality Advocates Pennsylvania and as director of a street-based legal clinic sited at Philadelphia’s syringe services program, where he represented people who use drugs, people who trade sex for drugs or money, and transgender individuals. He has also served a chair of a county board of health, chair of the board of the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition, and co-chair of the board of the North Carolina Public Health Foundation. He has authored dozens of peer-reviewed articles and holds faculty appointments at the Brody School of Medicine and Occidental College.
