Dr. Kocher is a practicing emergency physician, associate professor in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Learning Health Sciences at the University of Michigan, associate investigator at the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Center for Clinical Management Research Health Services Research & Development, and a health services researcher affiliated with the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation. He is also the Director of the Michigan Emergency Department Improvement Collaborative (https://medicqi.org/), a network of hospitals across the state of Michigan dedicated to improving the quality of emergency care for all.
