Andrew Hashikawa is Assistant Professor in Children's Emergency Services, Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan. He is fellowship trained in pediatric emergency medicine and epidemiology. His research has focused on the early learning population and summer camps in the areas of infectious disease, chronic diseases, injury prevention, and disaster preparedness. He serves as the American Academy of Pediatrics Early Childhood Champion for the state of Michigan and is the health advisory member to Michigan’s Race to the Top Committee and a national expert panel member for infectious diseases and injury prevention for the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care in Early Education. He is the lead for online medical education at the UM Injury Center for developing an asynchronous, online injury prevention curriculum for medical learners.
