Enyo Ama Ablordeppey MD, MPH is an associate professor of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine. She received her medical school and public health training at the University of Pittsburgh and then completed fellowships in critical care medicine and emergency ultrasound at Washington University. She is currently the co-director of the critical care ultrasound program and the director of emergency ultrasound research with training in implementation science. Her research interests center around understanding the behavioral and systems adaptations required to increase the uptake of evidence into healthcare practices for critically ill patients. Her research goal is to improve care for critically ill patients by developing and modifying implementation and de-implementation strategies in order to optimize health care delivery and avoid medical over utilization. Currently, she is focused on the effects of ultrasound diagnostics on clinical outcomes, including perceptions and utilization of bedside ultrasound in critical care environments such as the Emergency Department, its effect on patient safety and hospital resources.
