Dr. Dany Westerband is Medical Director of Trauma Services and Chief of Trauma and Emergency Surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. He has been in this role for over seventeen years and a practicing trauma surgeon for more than twenty-nine years. In addition to being an alumnus of Howard University Hospital and the Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and a member of several other surgical and trauma organizations, nationally and internationally. Dr. Westerband is a past chair of the Maryland Committee on Trauma, a member of the Central Committee on Trauma and the incoming Director of the ATLS International Program.
