Hon consultant
St James' University Hospital, Leeds
Leeds, United Kingdom
I am an Honorary Consultant Urologist at St James’s University Hospital (Leeds UK) with a specific subspecialty interest in Endourology and Upper Tract Minimally Invasive Surgery including Laparoscopy. My research interests have focused on the management and research of Renal Cell Cancer and Urinary Stone disease but latterly on issues relating to training and the provision of Urological Services. I have been co-author of a text book on Laparoscopy in Urology and author of several chapters on Stone Management and Laparoscopy.
From 2016 – 2018 I had a continuing educational commitment with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh to a project supporting the urological trainees in Myanmar. From 2015, I have been involved with a Global Education project for the Endourological Society involving Hands on Training courses and became their Director of Education in September 2017. In the pandemic I set up the Masterclass webinar programme for the Society with the aim to deliver high-quality content dedicated to concepts and surgical techniques in Endourology & Robotics. I am honoured to be the current President of the Endourological Society.
