Rodney Reed is the Assistant Chief of Operational Support for the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office, with over 17 years’ public safety experience. He earned a Bachelors’ degree in Communications and Masters in Emergency Management Services. He holds various certifications including a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), State-Certified COM-L, TCFP Arson Investigator, Firefighter, HazMat Technician, and international instructor. He is a member of Texas A&M Task Force 1, one of the 26 designated FEMA USAR Teams. He is also on the Executive Steering Committee for the DHS First Responders Resource Group and member of the Environmental Crimes committee of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
