Bio Steve Curry Battalion Chief (retired)
Retired Battalion Chief Steve Curry Has been a member of the Columbia Fire Department for 25years, served as Battalion Chief Covering Battalion 1 and the downtown area. He has served as the Chief of Training for 5 years. He has served on the Hazardous Materials Company for 16 years. Chief Curry has been instructing at the South Carolina Fire Academy for the past 23 years primarily focusing on the Hazmat programs. Chief Curry also is an Instructor with FEMA Homeland Security at the Center of Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama where he is teaching hazardous materials and WMD classes for the past 15 years. Chief Curry is also an Instructor for SERTC remote delivery out of Pueblo CO. Just recently joined All Safe Industries as a Training Consultant. Chief Curry has also assisted as a contributing editor for 2 Hazardous Materials books. Chief Curry is married and has 3 children and enjoys golfing in his spare time.
