Doug Mayer is currently the North American Business Development Specialist with Blackline Safety, the global leader in CONNECTED gas detection instrumentation for personal and area-wide safety applications, combining real-time detection & moniroing with plume modeling and (evolving) radiation and other needed capabilities around CBRNe applications.
With a career that spans more than 30-years, Doug has extensive experience in providing solutions to the environmental, health, safety, and emergency response markets. Having worked for both distribution and manufacturing companies, Doug has a keen interest in the technologies that keep his clients and communities safe, from the early days of PPE and air pollution control systems to a primary focus in gas detection for personal and area-wide atmospheric monitoring. It was during his early years in working with fire departments and State and Federal agenecies that he gravitated to technologies in and related to gas detection, managing instrument rentals and repair facilities for a leading supplier, once owned by MSA. He later joined RAE Systems in its hey-day post 9-11 and facilitated development within the various agencies served, local, State and Federal.
While the gas technologies and their capabilities have changed considerably over the years, Doug saw that the innovative capabilities of Blackline Safety's devices would provided yet another level of safety and response capabilities to the clients served. He joined the Company in June, 2018. Understanding your current technology usage, as well as the limitations currently being experienced, is Doug's primary focus in developing a bumper-to-bumper solution for your teams safety. As a starting point, Blackline's G7 personal and EXO area monitors are the backbone of where we go from here.
