Mr. Michael J. Magda started his career in aviation in 1989 as an Airframe and Power-plant mechanic working on McDonnell Douglas DC-8’s, Boeing 707’s, 727’s, 747’s and Lockheed L-1011’s, along with many other aircraft. After several companies’ closures due to hard times in aviation, decided to change careers and became a career firefighter/Paramedic/Hazardous Materials Specialist for Livonia Fire & Rescue.
Mr. Magda has advanced through the ranks to the position of Battalion Chief, and Hazardous Material Officer for the department and Team Leader, for Western Wayne County Hazardous Materials Response Team.
Accomplishment he has achieved over 30 years.
