Mitchell M. Samuelian is CEO of Tonian Solar O&M he is responsible for starting up an innovative O&M company within RNWBL a group of 14 renewable service companies. Previously he founded NUConsult Services a renewable consulting company and assisted several large operators with improving results from their renewable assets.
Mitch brings more than 40 years of electric utility industry expertise to his position at Tonian. His experience includes positions in corporate asset management, engineering, plant management, and strategic planning.
Prior positions included:
- VP of Operations for Clearway Energy Group / NRG Energy and was responsible for the safe and reliable operations of (5GW+) of wind and solar projects. He oversaw the full range of operational disciplines, including operations, maintenance, engineering, regulatory compliance, environmental, and health and safety.
- General Manager of Ivanpah a 392 MW concentrated solar thermal plant.
- Director of Plant Operations for First Solar and was involved with the development, construction, and operations of over 5 GW of utility solar power plants.
- Head of Tennessee Valley Authorities’ Hydro and Renewable Operations and Maintenance program, where he oversaw pumped storage, hydroelectric, solar, wind, and methane power plants with a combined capacity of over 5GW distributed across 5 southeastern states.
He has an MBA with a minor in Human Resources from University of Phoenix, a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Thomas Edison State College and has a Reactor and Senior Reactor Operator License from the NRC.
