Dr Tripti Kaur Brar, MBBS, MD is currently a Rhinology research fellow in the department of Otolaryngology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She completed her medical school and residency training at Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. Subsequently, she also completed a Visiting Physician Program in Otology/Neurotology at House Research Institute, Los Angeles and a Head and Neck Surgery Observership Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Prior to her current position, she served as an attending in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Jaypee Hospital, Noida in the National Capital Region of India. In this role, she was instrumental in setting up the department of Otorhinolaryngology. She is highly skilled in a variety of surgeries including cochlear implants, head and neck cancer surgeries, functional endoscopic sinus surgeries. She has multiple publications including first author publications in Acta Oto-Laryngologica and Ear Nose and Throat Journal. She has received numerous awards including the International Visiting Scholar award from the American Academy of Otolarynglogy-HNSF in 2013. Her current work is focused on understanding the biological mechanisms that underpin the heterogeneity of chronic rhinosinusitis in order to develop novel treatments.
