Katherine Xie is a MS3 at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, a hopeful future-ENT applying in the upcoming cycle. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019 with a BS in bioengineering and has prior industry experience at Baxter International in R&D, working to advance disposables and late-stage medical devices. She is interested in pediatric otolaryngology and in particular, integrating clinical practice with early-stage medical innovation. Outside of academics, she enjoys long-distance running, scuba-diving, kayaking, paddle-boarding - anything adventure-oriented and outdoorsy!
