Dr. Matthew Brigger is Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego and a Professor of Surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He is Director of the Pediatric Aerodigestive Program where his clinical focus is on the surgical management of airway and swallowing disorders. Through a strong commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration, Dr. Brigger has developed a multifaceted approach to aerodigestive care and has a particular interest in children with airway and feeding disorders in the setting of congenital heart disease. His team has extensive experience in open and endoscopic as well as hybrid approaches to airway management and feeding strategies in this population. He has authored over 70 peer-reviewed studies and routinely presents at national and international meetings. A father of three children, Dr. Brigger is an avid runner and spends his free time biking, hiking and snowboarding when the weather allows.
