Geetha Mahendran is a fourth year medical student at the Emory University School of Medicine and a public health student at the Rollins School of Public Health. She will be starting her Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery residency at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary this year. Her research has focused on melding her public health background with her interests in otolaryngology. Her current work includes examining racial disparities in cochlear implantation and highlighting the role of sponsorship and mentorship for women in the surgical field.
