Dr. Jennifer Lavin, MD, MS, FACS, FAAP is an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Otolaryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) at Northwestern University, at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She obtained her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology at Northwestern University, McGaw Medical Center. She then went on to do fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. Upon completion of fellowship, she completed a Masters of Science in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety at Northwestern University, and she serves as the Director of Quality and Safety for the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Dr. Lavin is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngologists, The Triological Society, and American Bronchoesophageal Society. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Surgeons. She is a member of the Button Battery Task Force, NSQIP-P ENT Task Group, the ASPO Quality and Safety Committee, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery Infectious Disease Committee.
