Dr. Hunter Elms, MD, is an otolaryngology resident physician at Duke University. Born and raised in Texas, Hunter attended the University of Texas for both undergraduate and medical school, where he participated in longitudinal study of temporal bone osteoradionecrosis at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During his time in residency at Duke, Hunter's research has focused on clinical testing of vestibular disorders, specifically looking at video head impulse testing (vHIT) in unilateral and bilateral vestibular weakness. Hunter's favorite procedure is laser stapedotomy, and, outside of work, he enjoys running, board games, and swimming in the Eno River.
