J. Thomas Roland Jr, MD is the Mendik Foundation Professor and Chairman, Otolrayngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is co-director of the NYU Cochlear Implant Center and co-director of the NYU NF2 center. He has numerous text book chapters, 3 testbooks and over 250 publications with a special clinical interest in skull base and acoustic neuroma surgery, facial nerve surgery, cochlear implant surgery and cholesteatoma surgery. The NYU Cochlear Implant center is one of the largest cochlear implant research centers in the world with numerous contributions to the outcomes for patients with cochear implants.
