Miriam Smetak is a current third-year resident in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She attended the University of Southern California and obtained a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Archaeology. She completed medical school at the University of Minnesota where she earned a concurrent master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. Her research interests include cochlear implantation, medical device innovation, biomedical engineering, and image-guided surgery.
