Kevin Alewine is the director of technical sales for Shermco Industries Machine Services Division after serving for several years as the director of their renewable energy services. Kevin has been involved directly and peripherally with the wind generation industry for many years while focusing his nearly 40-year career on the manufacture and repair of rotating machinery up to 15kV. He was previously a vice-president and senior applications specialist for a global manufacturer of electrical insulation and conductors and was responsible for the marketing and technical support for USA manufactured products worldwide. Kevin was the general chair for the 2019 IEEE Electrical Insulation Conference held in Calgary, AB, Canada. He is also the past chair of the American Wind Energy Association O&M Working Group focusing improving the reliability and profitability of wind energy projects and was the technical program chair for the AWEA Windpower 2014 conference.
