Samir Ballouz is a Trauma Program Coordinator who works with frontline emergency responders in Lebanon and the Middle East to provide them with the global standards in trauma education. Having been in this role since 2014, he knows that active learning and continuing education is a key component in creating a robust healthcare system. In his work with the military, law enforcement, registered nurses, and physicians, he has seen firsthand, through experiences in Beirut and its suburbs, how a cultural shift in the way careers and society views emergent trauma care, can have direct consequences in saving lives.
