Raysean Ricks is an enthusiastic content creator. Born and raised in Mount Vernon, Ga., he is a proud first-generation college graduate. Ricks earned his bachelors in Communication at Augusta University in 2017. As he matriculated through his undergraduate career, he developed a passion for storytelling and empowered underrepresented students on campus.
Ricks currently serves as digital communications strategist at his alma mater and shares inspiring student stories from the university that transformed his life. Most recently, Ricks developed and currently hosts Augusta University's official podcast, In the Wild, which has accrued over 10,000 total listens since its conception in March of 2020. He was also named the Georgia Education Advancement Council’s Outstanding Newcomer of the Year at the 2021 annual conference and he received the Outstanding Young Alumni Award from Augusta University's Pamplin College this year.
