Urban drinking-water reservoirs are critical infrastructure and urban landmarks. Recent federal mandates are transforming open reservoirs to covered tanks. Examining projects in L.A., Philadelphia, and Baltimore, this panel examines how landscape architects can lead the reinvention of reservoir landscapes as places of cultural significance, community recreation, and living aquatic ecosystems.
