James is a Landscape Architect at the Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation, part of the National Park Service's Northeast regional office. In 2020, James earned a Master of Landscape Architecture from University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where he also completed a graduate certificate in cultural landscape management. In his role with the Olmsted Center, he has co-authored Cultural Landscape Reports for Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park, Fredericksburg-Spotsylvania National Military Park, and Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site, and has provided technical assistance to parks across the Northeast region. He currently lives in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.
